Arrived early and intact. Raised the water temp to desired level very quickly. Only complaint is that it makes a very loud noise each time it kicks on and off. Not sure if its defective or just how it operates but haven't seen a problem otherwise.

    ***Update****
A little over five months later I was doing a water change in a spawn tank and started hearing popping and cracking. Looked at this heater and it had cracks running the length of it. Went to pull it out quickly so it wouldn't harm the fry and the minute I touched it it broke in half and the lower half fell in the tank narrowly missing one of the babies. Definitely will not purchase any more products made by this company.

5Easy setup, affordable, works as desired
    By Sarah V
What can I say. I am new to aquarium systems and when I moved my goldfish to a 20 gallon tank I found myself a little in over my head, no pun intended. I purchased this heater so that I could keep the large tank in a bright, sunny, room of the house that we keep heated to only 60 degrees in this New England winter. I wanted to keep the tank between 65-75 degrees so that he would be comfortable. Purchased this one based on the reviews and the specs saying it was appropriate for a 20 gallon tank. Received quickly (thanks, amazon prime account), read brief instructions, and setup. Was not sure if it was working at first, but i noticed the next day the little orange light had turned on for a few minutes when the temp must have dipped below. So far, so good, "Oscar" seems very comfortable and the size of the heater is not obtrusive. The fact that it is automatically set to a temperature that works for most fish tanks is a bonus, I did not have to even alter that. Overall I am pleased, and have no complaints.

    1Broke into pieces...glass n all in my aquarium after 1 week's use
    By HeadStrongMicheLLe
It broke after a week's use in my aquarium. Ofcourse, I believe it is made in CHINA. The bottom pieces...glass tubes n all were everywhere in my tank. I would NOT recommend this brand. Get Tetra heaters...not expensive n has not given me any problems. I have been in the fish hobby for over 20 years.
