Be careful how you use this aid
By William G.
Repetetion is an excellent way to teach a parrot - IF there is also a visual, taste or sound stimulus with the word or phrase. Just hearing a word repeated over and over again begins to teach the bird - but what does the word mean? What is a cookie without the visual and taste stimulus?
As instructed,I put my CD player on repeat to play a single track again and again. After five minutes the parrot was upset and started repeating, "NO!" Now when he hears the beginning of that song he whistles and says "NO!" African Grays are smart and blind repetetion wasn't the best way. Now I occasionally play the CD through and let him decide what he wants to repeat. One problem with the CD - all the audio tracks were not recorded at the same level and some tend to be much louder than other tracks.
Would I buy it again - probably not.

Keeps my small parrots happy and entertained
This CD has become part of our daily schedule. The birds love it! If I forget to play it in the morning they quickly remind me. They haven't started singing or whistling along yet, and even if they don't, they enjoy it and that's good enough for me!
