I now can secure my dog in the back seat during a car ride :D However, I wish the belt would be a bit longer so that my dog can move little more freely. I often see her legs tied up...

I have a 15 week old puppy that was all over the car when we picked her up from the rescue organization, despite my sitting in the backseat with her. In desperation, I went looking for a solution and found the "no pull" harness and these seatbelts. This seatbelt, hooked to the back of her "no pull" harness and your regular seatbelt buckle, keeps her where she is supposed to be! We have another dog and took the puppy and the 8 year old schnauzer for a ride in the mountains. The 8 year old is a runner and I love the fact that I can open the door now without fear that she will dart out before I can get my hands on her. It is also adjustable to keep both dogs on their own side of the car or if only one goes, free reign for most of the backseat. I would not use this in the front seat because of the distraction factor and safety factor. Kids and pets belong in the backseat for safety and both need to be securely buckled up and I can do this now for my pets without any worries. I have not had either dog be able to release the seatbelt. True that there are no directions on the box but the amazon site for this product explains it and it is a little bit of common sense. I would NOT hook the clip to collar of a dog as a wreck would probably cause significant damage to the dog's neck. See nothing wrong with using it with the harness that has the clip in the back.

I have 2 mid sized dogs and going anywhere with them in the car is difficult. If I keep them in the back seat, they slide along the seat, jump all over the place and I'm concerned that should I jam the brakes, the dogs would get injured. I can't keep them up front otherwise, its a distraction while driving and them moving all over me. Now that I got these dogs seat belts. these worked perfectly for them. My dogs wear harnesses, so these attaches nicely. The length of the straps is adjustable so it gives them enough room to move around in the back seat. If I am just taking one of them out for a quick run, I shorten the strap and keep him in the front seat since he can't jump around nowt. I feel that my dogs are much safer now. This is a simple, hassle free solution to keep my dogs safe while car is in motion and recommend everyone with a pet in car to use a seat belt for them too.
