    5Perfect liner for reptiles.
    By Brandy Aird
I have an All Living Things 40 gallon tank that's 36Lx18W and this just was just slightly too long. After putting it in, it was bubbling up because it couldn't lay flay length wise. The width was great though. It was a very easy fix. I took some sharp kitchen scissors and trimmed off about 1/2in and it laid flat after that. I bought this for my bearded dragons cage. He originally had one, but when I upgraded his cage we went with sand. I realized that sand was not the best substrate for keeping him in. It got in his food, and I prefer to keep extra crickets in his cage that he can eat at his leisure. I had to remove my beardie, and feed him in a separate tank to help reduce the chances of him accidentally ingesting the sand. I was worried about him consuming too much sand and becoming compacted. It also smelled, and even though I sifted the sand the odor remained.

I really like this as a cage liner, it cleans up so easily! Once a week, you can rinse it off with a hose and let it hang dry outside or toss it in the washing machine. I use plain distilled vinegar to clean mine. It's chemical free, so you don't have to worry about accidentally poisoning your reptile. It also does a great job disinfecting and neutralizing the odors. Dry on low, or hang dry.

These last so much longer than sand, and it's MUCH safer for your reptiles. The price point is cheaper here than I've seen in retailers and other pet stores.

Extremely satisfied and it looks great, and my beardie seems happier with his crickets back in the cage as well!

    4Does the job!

I bought this product to replace the sand in my Bearded Dragon's tank because I was concerned with the health risks associated with eating sand. My beardie doesn't seem put off by the new texture change and his nails do not catch on the fabric like other reviews have stated. I have the 36" by 18" terrarium by Exo Terra and only had to trim the length by about an inch for it to fit perfectly. I do plan on getting a second so I have a replacement to swap during thorough deep tank cleanings.

This is a carpet type liner which is intended as an alternative to using sand or other loose substrate which can cause impaction if ingested. I brought this product to cover the sides of my bearded dragon's cage, so he wouldn't be stressed seeing his reflection. I found the liner easy to cut, and was able to attach with Velcro so it can be removed for cleaning if needed. My dragon seems happy with it - he likes to climb it and hangs there on it quite often. You can also use Velcro to secure temp probe wires etc on to it so they don't clutter the cage floor. The carpet is a nice color that fits the cage decor. It does not seem to cause any problems with my dragon catching his nails in it.
