does NOT work on ich - read other reviews I am not the only one saying this
By Waffle Lover
Seachem is normally a good company but I have no idea why they advertising this product as working for ich. It does not, at all.
I had goldfish with ich and treated carefully and precisely according to the directions on the product. 3 days later, instead of getting better, my goldfish were all dead.
When I first put the minimum does of the product in my hospital tank my goldfish seemed very agitated, swimming up and then down through the bubbles like they were trying to get something off their skin. Then they settled down so I though they would get better. Changed water daily, increased temperature 2 degrees more than they were used to before (my normal tank is 76 degress, i turned it up to 78 in this tank) and followed all directions everywhere, water quality was excellent, fish were fed, plenty of airation. I did everything I could so I am disappointed in this product because I could have used something else that would have worked had I know this would NOT WORK ON ICH.
Dont make the same mistake - buy something else for ich.

More Prevention than Treatment
When my aquarium had a breakout of skin flukes I bought this thinking it would cure my ailing fish. Although it did seem to prevent the parasites from spreading to unaffected fish, it did not kill the parasites or cure the fish that already had visible symptoms. It may work at curing your fish if you catch the symptoms soon enough and add some right away. I like that its safe and natural, none of my fish showed any signs of distress while I administered this product. I was able to get rid of the skin flukes after adding Maracyn-two and CopperSafe to the mix. I haven't given up on ParaGuard yet though! I will probably use it as my first option if any parasite-like symptoms appear again in the future.

Not going to say bad or good as it didn't help but didn't hurt the fish either. I don't recommend doing baths though. My dish acted badly to it. They are bettas if wondering. Tails on them have been bad for months and can't get them to grow. I also suspected velvet. Treated for a week now and so far no change. Is 10 gallon tank and almost out of it, also is uncycled so would be able to tell ya guys if it hurt the cycle. As for the good it didn't change my silicone to blue.
